Bongiwe Mthethwa

A hardworking, goal driven and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. A very creative and patient individual with experience in working with different communities in teaching, learning, and community development projects. A very positive individual who is willing to tackle new challenges with the knowledge and experience of working in an administrative environment, with different age groups through community and schools’ awareness campaigns as well as presentations. I have high aspirations in making a positive contribution towards sustainable development, socio-economic development and establishing a greater future for different communities in Africa through education, sports, unitedly working together, enhancing social cohesion, patience, determination, commitment, and a passion of creating future leaders.

As a human rights peer educator, I do community outreach campaigns through human rights information sessions, community mediation dialogues, celebration of cultural diversity and lobbying and advocacy. I educate and create awareness in different communities about human rights and the responsibility that comes with the right. I promote respect for human rights, human dignity and equality amongst citizens and, I promote social cohesion.

Currently I represent Africa Unite.

The greatest value for me is knowing that I contribute towards building better communities through allowing citizens to take charge of their democracy and hold their leaders accountable and work towards creating a better democracy for all.
