Lindelani Youth Forum (LYF) is an organization recognized as a youth development organization, it is a team of young, enthusiastic, creative and dynamic professionals with a stream of innovative ideas and they are based in Lindelani. They exist to address youth challenges through creating empowerment programs, awareness's, campaigns and skills development activities in the following Sectors; Arts and Culture, Sports & Recreation, Social development, Health and Education & Careers for which are projects of youth concerning participating activities. The LYF would like to remain as an organization that render/or offers community youth developmental work at the local level with formal practice and good governance for youth development.

Firstly, the knowledge gained during DDP engagements and workshops is very valuable to me and to the organisation at large. Being a DDP associate has given me and the orgaination to be part of big network, assisted the organisation to grow in terms of planning and implementing projects, marketing and branding the organisation and branding individuals in the organisation. Convening citizen gathering has grown me and gave me more knowledge on civic participation and also helped me to be more active in terms of citizenship. Also personally being DDP associate facilitator has assisted me to have some source of income and also it has led for me to have a Mentor (Mr B Mhlongo) who has made sure the work of the organisation is going and the organisation is growing.

Inspiration to the formation of the LYF was the realization of the community young people that their community members are rich of talent that need to be developed and monitored for sustainable outcomes.

The need is that number of young people at Lindelani environment/ or community, are leaving under circumstances of unemployment and lack of access to skills development opportunities and substance abuse which will enable them to realize their full potential using their immense talents and passion.
