DDP in partnership with BlackSash hosted a Virtual Webinar to unpack following narrative for civil society and the public at large: Unlocking the political will: Towards a universal basic income grant. This engagement was held on the 21st September 2020.
Intended Outcome:

-To inform citizens on the role of state institutions to provide social security to all
– Better understanding of the effect of universal basic income on basic rights, such as human dignity
– Increased understanding of the economic case for Universal basic income;
– Better understanding of the role civil society and other key stakeholders in campaigning towards the eventual implementation Universal Basic Income as a policy of the state.
