The DDP hosted an online workshop for political party representatives working in the branch executive structures, and other volunteer structures in communities. This workshop was attend by around 20 young aspirant political leaders, some of whom already hold leadership roles within their party, and within government (with one of the attendees being a Proportional Representative Councillor in the eThekwini Municipality. Whilst we saw 1 or 2 parties notably absent, it is encouraging to see the level of engagement from the crop of leaders we had access to, and their energy towards pursuing momentum towards an economically viable, values-led Democratic South Africa. The workshop was ably facilitated by our Senior Programs Officer, Mr Sphamandla Mhlongo, and lecturer at the University of KwaZulu Natals School of Built Environment and Development studies, Dr Isaac Khambule.
