Delegates with DDP and OSF team at UMngeni Municipality Inception Workshop.

The inception workshop is a channel towards achieving the engagement of various stakeholders in the Open Society Foundation-funded project. It is meant to introduce the project to potential partners, get buy-in from these partners, and potentially establish valuable partners towards the implementation of the project.

On the 20th January 2022, DDP hosted this inception workshop in partnership with UMngeni Municipality to:

  • Engage community stakeholders in Umngeni municipality
  • Introduce the project concept to stakeholders in the community
  • Co-create an implementation strategy along with community stakeholders
  • Assess potential opportunities and risks for the project being implemented
  • Develop a loose memorandum of understanding, outlining the principles and values of the partnerships being entered into.

The targeted group for this workshop is civil society organization/youth-led organizations working within the area of Mngeni, Municipal Youth Manager, and any other relevant partners with who we share the same principles with.
