DDP hosted a civic education dialogue in UMlazi Township in partnership with the Center for Community Development (CCD). This dialogue was held on the 24th February 2022 and was facilitated by Msizi Khumalo, the DDP associate facilitator.
Civic Education is the key to cultivating active citizenship in a democracy and therefore be taken seriously. Citizenship education as it relates to active citizenship in a democracy should aim to educate, equip and empower citizens to use their human rights to improve their lives as active citizens in a democracy.
