The Open Society Foundation South Africa project team hosted the project evaluation session in Msunduzi Municipality. This is an evaluation session that seeks to monitor and evaluate the work and level of impact of this project in the specific area. This is an area that belongs to Mgungundlovu District Municipality, which is predominated by rural areas dealing with issues of high unemployment, poverty, and inequality. The project was guided by the theme of Promoting youth political participation and engagement: reclaiming a youth-friendly democracy, which in short means enhancing young people’s consciousness about democracy, politics, and youth participation to improve electoral outcomes for 2024 Provincial and National Elections and those that will come after.
This session was held at the YMCA Offices in Pietermaritzburg on the 28th of September 2022 and was facilitated by Wiseman Dlamini.
