OSF capacity building workshop- Mkhambathini Municipality

The Democracy Development Program in partnership with the Open Society Foundation SA and Developing Youth hosted a capacity-building workshop with the youth in Camperdown and surrounding areas. The workshop was guided by the theme; Promoting youth political participation and engagement: reclaiming a youth-friendly democracy looking to enhance youth participation in the upcoming 2024 Provincial and National Government Elections, educating the youth about the National Development Plan, Independent Development Plan, and various community structures which exist at a community level that young people can actively participate in. It will be exploring different channels that the youth can use to achieve socioeconomic growth through the National Youth Development Agency.

This workshop was implemented in partnership with DDP, OSF-SA, and Umkhambathini Public Participation Office on the 29 October 2022 at the Midilovo Primary School, which is the municipal wing that works with ward committees and the community at large in Umkhambathini and surrounding areas.
