Delegates at Folweni Civic education dialogue.

DDP hosted a civic education dialogue at Folweni Red Cross Church on 2 March 2023.  The theme of the discussion was To capacitate and enhance the understanding of Civic Education in the community, especially the youth, to promote active citizenship and participation in building sustainable communities.

This dialogue forms part of a series of community dialogues to educate the citizens on the importance of active citizenship and participating in local government structures.

The objectives of this dialogue were to:

  • Capacitate community members especially the youth on Civic Education
  • Capacitate the community members and leaders on Voter Education
  • Encourage active citizenship and participation to promote sustainable communities

This dialogue was implemented by DDP and was facilitated by Wiseman Dlamini, DDP Associate Facilitator.
