ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is about inclusive governance, human rights, and democracy, promoting the inclusion of African migrants in local governance structures (that is, ward committees) in three selected localities in the greater Durban Metro.
OBJECTIVE
The main objective is to strengthen community interrelationships between African migrants (refugees and asylum seekers) and their host communities (South Africans) in co-governing their communities together as partners.
TARGETED BENEFICIARIES AND COMMUNITIES
The primary targeted beneficiaries of the intervention are – African migrants (refugees and asylum seekers) and their South African hosts.
The targeted communities for the intervention are Isipingo, KwaMashu and KwaMakhutha.
