Miss. Thelma N. Nyarhi
Thelma N. Nyarhi is currently pursuing her PhD studies in Anthropology at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She has lectured undergraduate Anthropology and Sociology courses with focus on identity, digital technology, migration and globalization topics. Her research interests lie within migration, democracy, citizenship, identity and belonging etc. She has authored multiple opinion pieces broadly on African sociopolitical and socioeconomic issues. Furthermore, she authored a book entitled: Running Ahead: Zimbabwean women navigating precarity in Johannesburg and co-edited a book entitled An Anthology: Reflections on Democracy, Politics, Elections and Coalition Governing in South Africa. Her aspirations lie within investing in a professional career that would sharpen her conceptual and practical thinking for the betterment of society.
