Msunduzi Municipality Youth Indaba 2025 Theme: Enhancing Voices Accountability Through Citizens And Advocacy, and, Social Activism

The Democracy Development Program (DDP), in partnership with Msunduzi Municipality, hosted the Youth Indaba 2025, a pivotal event aimed at fostering a culture of accountability and active citizenship among the youth. Under the theme "Enhancing Voices Accountability Through Citizens And Advocacy Social Activism," this gathering empowered young minds to engage in meaningful dialogue and advocacy.

Held at the Athletics Tracks on 17 April 2025, the event was directed by the esteemed Ms Phumla Khuzwayo from the DDP. Her leadership and experience in civic engagement inspired participants to explore innovative ways to amplify their voices and hold institutions accountable.

The Indaba featured a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions designed to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to become effective advocates for social change. Participants had the opportunity to network with peers, share their experiences, and collaborate on strategies to address pressing issues within their communities.

As we gathered to celebrate the power of youth activism, we were reminded that each voice matters and that collective action can drive significant change. The Msunduzi Municipality Youth Indaba 2025 was not just an event; it was a movement towards a more accountable and inclusive society.

Together, we enhanced voices and built a future where accountability and advocacy are at the forefront of our social fabric.
